Manchester Metropolitan University Institute of Sport Visit ( Published: 11/11/2024)

Students had a fantastic opportunity to visit the Manchester Metropolitan University Institute of Sport, to gain an insight into different sports-based courses and test out some of their high tech equipment.

The visit was organised through our partnership with Manchester United Foundation, which allowed students with an interest in sports performance and sports science (such as our sports studies students) the opportunity to learn more about sports-based career pathways. The students got hands-on with various activities including jump testing, dynamometer muscular strength, sprint testing, vo2 submaximal testing and sports vision training.

I was impressed by how well the students interacted with the MMU Tutors, as they showed a lot of passion and interest in the courses and what the University had to offer. Hopefully, some of these students enrol in the near future and continue their interest in a sports-based career.
