Geography

In Geography, we identify powerful knowledge across a range of physical and human geography topics. We equip students with a wide range of skills, including numerical, investigative and literacy skills.

The topics we study help to increase students’ cultural capital and enable them to develop a wider understanding of the world and its diversity. This will support students to become well-informed members of society and will enable them to participate in an ever-changing labour market.

Geography Curriculum

Our curriculum covers elements of physical and human geography by exploring key enquiry questions. Students are also given the opportunity to complete fieldwork studies.

At GCSE, students study the AQA Geography specification, including fieldwork in Crowden, Peak District, and New Islington, Manchester.
