Andy Burnham Visits TEMA ( Published: 20/01/2025)
We were honoured to welcome the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, Deputy Mayor Kate Green, and members of Manchester City Council to The East Manchester Academy as part of a showcase highlighting inclusion best practices in Greater Manchester.
Our students had the exciting opportunity to greet and guide the visitors around our school, offering them a firsthand look at how we create an inclusive and supportive environment for all learners.
A highlight of the visit was the chance to showcase our BUG Community Garden, a space made possible through the Mayor’s funding. This garden plays a key role in our interventions, providing students with a unique environment to learn and grow.
It was a privilege to share the impactful work we are doing at TEMA and to be recognised as a leading example of inclusion in the region, we look forward to the Mayor’s next visit!
