One Education have created a helpline for parents/carers of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and for Early Help professionals within the Manchester local authority.
Educational Psychology Helpline
Available: Monday – Friday, 1.00pm – 3.00pm
This service offers a problem-solving phone conversation relating to educating your child/young person at home and responding to issues relating to learning, behaviour, anxiety and mental health needs. For example:
- Are you feeling unsure of how to teach your child at home?
- Are you finding it difficult to teach what is expected?
- Is it difficult to help your child stay calm or get them to co-operate?
- Are you concerned that you don’t have the right equipment or resources?
These are particularly difficult times for parents/carers of children and young people with special needs and disabilities. This helpline is available to talk through difficulties you may be facing.
